The Spectrum Thunderbots are a FIRST robotics team representing Spectrum Community School. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a nonprofit public charity designed to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology, and to motivate them to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math. Every year, FIRST hosts numerous international events that provide students with opportunities to come together, learn new skills, and compete at various levels.
Thunderbots are a FIRST robotics team representing Spectrum Community School. The 2021-2022 season was an exciting one for the team, in which we were a part of the winning alliance of the FRC Canadian Pacific Regionals.
Our win garnered a great deal of positive attention for our team. In the 2022-2023 season, we capitalized on this excitement by growing our team even more. Specifically, the Thunderbots expanded to include two new FTC teams as well! This means more robotics, more competitions, and more fun for our team.
In the 2025-2026 season, we added another FTC team to the mix while putting a pause on our FRC team.
