ThunderBots are a FIRST robotics team representing Spectrum Community School. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a nonprofit public charity designed to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology, and to motivate them to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math. Every year FIRST holds many international events that give students opportunities to come together, learn new skills, and compete at various levels.
ThunderBots are a FIRST robotics team representing Spectrum Community School. Last year was a very exciting season for the team in which we were a part in the winning alliance of FRC Canadian Pacific Regionals (see the full story here).
Our win brought a lot of positive attention to our team. This year we aim to capitalize on this excitement by growing our team even more. Specifically, we are excited to announce that the ThunderBots have expanded into two new FTC teams as well! This means, more robotics, more competition, and more fun for our team.
