The ThunderBots are a FIRST robotics team representing Spectrum Community School.
The Spectrum ThunderBots are a FIRST robotics team representing Spectrum Community School. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a nonprofit public charity designed to inspire young people's interest and participation in science and technology, and to motivate them to pursue education and career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math. Every year FIRST holds many international events that give students opportunities to come together, learn new skills, and compete at various levels.
ThunderBots are a FIRST robotics team representing Spectrum Community School. The 2021-2022 season was aa exciting one for the team in which we were a part of the winning alliance of the FRC Canadian Pacific Regionals (see the full story here).
Our win brought a lot of positive attention to our team. In the 2022-2023 season, we capitalized on this excitement by growing our team even more. Specifically, the Thunderbots expanded to include two new FTC teams as well! This means, more robotics, more competitions, and more fun for our team.
